Earlier this year we had the honor of photographing FRESHbash! In case you don’t what FRESHbash is, it’s a really amazing event bringing together creative minds from all over Northern California founded in 2015 by Hailey of Two Roads Event Co., Carmen of Carmen Salazar Photography, Dena of Throne Invitations & Stationary Design, and Rosaura of Pigment & Parchment, and then Danielle of Danielle Roe Events joined the FRESHbash team in 2016! It was so amazing to see all the creative minds of the wedding industry come together and make something spectacular together for this coming wedding season!
One really amazing component of FRESHbash is that is fosters a collaborative environment for those in the wedding industry by having a little bit of friendly competition! With four collaborative FRESHbash teams comprised of an event designer, cake artist/pastry chef, floral artist, and stationary/paper goods artist, each team created a completely styled space much like that of a styled shoot. Each team’s designed settings around the themes of travel, tropical, rose gold, and shibori. FRESHbash really showcases all the new trends in the for this wedding season, and boy did some amazing things come out of it!
In addition to the collaborative teams, FRESHbash was filled with all different amazing vendors in the industry contributing their skills and expertise to throw a killer party! Among the many incredible vendors were a custom perfumerie by Perfume Bar Soiree, a hands-on floral workshop for garlands and flower crowns with Scarlett & Grace, a cheese tasting school with a cheese-cake, a killer photobooth by Giggle & Riot, there was even a glitter bar for making party guest’s hair a little more magical by Alchemy Salon and Spa, spectacular food, and entertainment from LA Follies Dancers, Heart of Gold Djs, My Cousin Vinny (Silent Disco), and Silent Storm Sound System. It was an event to remember, and gave so much amazing inspiration for this wedding season!
It was a sold out event, and there were around 50 industry professionals contributing their wonderful work to this event, and even more industry creatives in attendance as guests! Each guest received an extraordinary swag bag filled with brilliant goodies!
FRESHbash was hosted at Beatnik studios, and there was even a tent outside for even more festivities to take place! Designed by Morgan of Spreading Lovely, the outside area had a clear canopy that encapsulated chic hedges, lovely cacading arrangements on all the tables by Molly Ryan Floral. There was even an amazing live band Cover Me Badd, beer and vanilla ice cream floats, a meatball bar, craft beer and bites generously provided by Federalist Public House, and gorgeous hand crafted touches and details by the extraordinary The Idea Emporium.
Everyone of the guests in attendance voted for one of the four competing teams to see who had the freshest design. So, this year team Lucent were voted the FRESHEST design team winners! The team was comprised of Elise Events, Pop Calligraphy, Paper Heart Patisserie, LittleBoy Flowers.
The amount of wedding inspiration for brides and wedding professionals alike was unreal! There were so many spectacular details and extremely creative ideas that came from FRESHbash, and were so very excited to have been a part of it!
