So, maybe sometimes we get into nerdy conversations at work. And maybe those said conversations involve the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Maybe. Okay, okay, fine! It’s best to be honest with you, the nerdy conversations absolutely DO involve Harry Potter.
After many discussions (and sometimes a few accusations thrown around the office, I won’t name names… Donna!) around who would go in what Hogwarts house, we put ourselves to the test. Well, online test, that is. Since there was no real life sorting hat for us muggles, we just stuck to the next best thing, a 30 question survey! Here at Milou + Olin and our sister company Giggle and Riot we were sorted into our Hogwarts houses and the outcomes were quite amusing!
If you aren’t familiar with the wizarding world of Harry Potter, don’t completely tune out, I’ll give you a little intro. Well, maybe I won’t, you see its really complicated. The important bits are that Harry Potter is a wizard, he attends a school for wizards and witches called Hogwarts, first years are sorted into a house based on their character qualities, and its all just really cool, okay? I promise!
There are four houses: Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Ravenclaw house values intelligence, creativity, learning, and wit. Hufflepuff house values hard work, patience, justice, and loyalty. Slytherin house values ambition, cunning, leadership, and resourcefulness. Gryffindor house values courage, bravery, nerve, and chivalry.
Ravenclaw house!
It’s probably because they are really awesome or something. Yeah, that seems about right! All of us ladies are creative and pretty witty (if we do say so ourselves).
I think it would be appropriate to also do introductions!
Above to the left is Caroline, The marvelous Lead Photographer of Milou + Olin, Creative Director and Managing Partner of Giggle + Riot, and all around fearless leader. Caroline has a vast love for art, design and all things creative. Autumn is above to the right, and she is the lovely Sales Coordinator and Funbooth Attendant of Giggle + Riot. Have you ever heard Autumn sing? She has the voice of an angel!
Above on the left is Donna, the whimsical Office Manager and Client Concierge of Milou + Olin. She is an amigurumi wizard, literally! To the right is Kelsey, the contrary Production Assistant of Milou + Olin. Kelsey is a comedic genius with a heart of gold.
Gryffindor House!
These guys are brave and courageous indeed! Jason, the gallant Production Manager of Giggle + Riot in below on the left. Believe it or not, Jason has been known as the reigning arm wrestling champ of the office. Josh, the vallant Head Honcho and Managing Partner of Giggle + Riot is on the right. Josh once single handedly saved a damsel in distress that was tied to the tracks in the face of an on coming train. These guys are certainly the epitome of a typical Gryffindor!
Slytherin House!
And as for Don, Milou + Olin’s most wonderful Associate Photographer, he landed himself in Slytherin. Boo, hiss! Just kidding! Don is so wonderful, and I think he might be able to show us that Slytherin’s aren’t that bad. He has been known to be the confidant of the past three Presidents of the United States, offering valuable personal and work related advice (mum’s the word, but he may or may not be on President Barack Obama’s speed dial).
Hufflepuff House!
Sorry Hufflepuff, no one likes you! Just kidding, we like you! I guess no one was worthy of your standards of hard work, patience and justice to claim you! You know, not everyone can be like Cedric Diggory (swoon!).
