Faye and Josh found a little slice of heaven when they held their wedding at Flying Caballos Ranch in San Luis Obispo, CA. If you haven’t been to the Central Coast of California, you’re missing out on the cutest beach towns, quiet rural landscapes, miles upon miles of rolling hills, and a rich history that began around the time Spanish missionaries were first colonizing California. Flying Caballos may be slightly inland from ocean views, but it embodies everything else the Central Coast has to offer. Owned by the infamous Madonna family, the ranch has been used as a working farm since the early 1900s, and is still used for horse and cattle grazing.
This adorable couple decided to have a “planned elopement” and gather a few family and friends for an informal jewish ceremony in this pastoral landscape, and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more! Faye’s children played a large part in the wedding, participating in the entire ceremony – even receiving their own “wedding jewelry” in the form of engraved necklaces!
The day is full of love, joy, and happiness – check out all the amazing moments!
A Flying horse welcomes you to the ranch, and the farm’s multiple structures welcome you brightly to the Madonna’s property.
Keep your eyes peeled for the rustic signage all over their wedding! This adorable sign proves that rustic chic is as easy as an inexpensive DIY project!
Faye chose a simple silk one-sleeved shift for her informal ceremony. A tulle flower and crystal gem earrings complete her neutral palate. Quiet moments like this are nice to pause and be present during your big day. Elopments especially can overwhelm you if you don’t take the time to breathe! Faye’s daughter looked entirely angelic in her ribbon-back dress and braided ‘do. Faye’s maid of honor held a beautiful pastel bouquet. Accessories make the look complete! Faye’s silk shoes and hair flower are beautiful feminine accents. A tulle flower belt defines the waist on Faye’s silk dress. Josh is offered help with his tie – at least he looks like he’s in a good mood! Spying for his new bride? Faye’s son Conroy laces up some navy sneakers next to Josh – the family that shops together stays together!
Josh rocks a unique bouteinnere and a giant grin! First looks! They are the best moments. These lovebirds make it easy to capture some pre-wedding tenderness. There is so much happiness in the air! After signing the Ketubah (part of the Jewish ceremony) Faye and Josh are off to the “formal” part of the ceremony! Stay tuned for some lovely reception photos and a s’more bar!
