Jason and Catherine are a free-spirited couple, with a love for each other that transcended tradition. White lace, Tattoos, Gold boots, streamers with bold colors, and a live hawk were a few pieces that stood out during the couples outdoor wedding. They are one of the coolest couples, very energetic, hilarious and enamored with each other. This couple came with a whole can of surprises on their and hidden gems throughout their wedding day. The best moments were of the bride and groom in their element. Strolling through grassy fields, and sneaking candid kisses, this rock and roll couple had a tremendous day simply spending time together.
For this shoot, the lighting shown in a magical way, which created a lot of fun during my editing process. We played with white back drops, lush green landscapes and gold accents to bring out the beautiful brightness of Catherine’s white lace gown and Jason’s awesome custom gold boots! In some of the images we brought out the bright bold colors, and in other photos, we reduced the exposure to reveal the more deep and underlying tones in the image.
Scenery can evolve a pretty picture into a masterpiece, and that’s what I did with Jason + Catherine’s sunset scene. This is my favorite destination picture of the couple. We found the perfect field to take photos in, near the venue, + we were able to take advantage of the landscape. The thick green weeds growing up around the couple, as they stood in front of what was an amazing mountainous view. Soft pinks and purples appeared across the sky, as the sun set behind the mountains. I felt the softness of the field and sky mixed with how strong and powerful the couple looked together creating, the perfect contrast for a depth of field shot.
