Two things have been on my mind lately: Halloween and all the cats and dogs at Front Street Shelter.
The first, Halloween is coming up and I can’t wait to see all the costumes. Ok, so I am a little worried about putting mine together but I really love all the kids who go all out with their Halloween costume. And I would love to help my lovely clients preserve the memories of their kidlets’ fun Halloween costumes.
Second thing, I have been spending a lot of time at the local Sacramento Front Street Animal Shelter photographing the every day life of the shelter. The Front Street Animal Shelter does far more than caring for lost and abandoned animals in our community. The Front Street shelter provides a variety of services that protect both citizens and animals. It truly is a great city shelter with amazing volunteers. The staff there are so dedicated and selfless, from the Animal Control Officers, to the Vet Techs, the staff, the fosters, the coordinators, the Shelter manager, Gina and her right hand man, Bobby. Day in and day out, dogs, cats and animals come in looking for their lost owners or their own forever homes. I have become quite attached to certain animals there. I am determined to continue to volunteer at the Shelter but also to find ways to help the Shelter out in other aspects of my life and especially my photography.

I love the quick petite nature of these shoots. It’s always so much fun and so much energy! Today I photographed a fun little boy named Ryan with two of his favorite Halloween costumes (Thanks to his mommy, Nicolette who runs the impeccably curated City Scout Magazine). He really loves to dress up so this is not new to Ryan. So bring in your kids, their Halloween costumes, their favorite toys or accessories and whatever else you feel like photographing your child with. And this isn’t just limited to kids, pets look awesome in their costumes too? Let’s do this together and have some fun, shall we?

I have more than one child I want photographed!
That’s great, but 10 minutes is really just enough for one child. So if you are bringing more than one child, just book several sessions in a row one for each child!
What should my child/I wear?
Halloween costumes of course!! We can do a maximum of 2 costumes per child!
How do I order my photos?
You will receive an online gallery of 10 photos, additionally you are also invited back to the Sacramento studio for a guided hands on purchasing session if you need hands on assistance.
