A secret I shared with the new Mrs. Bene, sometimes, when one of our favorite couples get married, and the wedding day was a blast, we get this post wedding depression too. But at least we get to see you guys again!! Although Dan will confirm that I was sulking on and off on Sunday going “Bummer, they’re married, I want them to get married again!” Their much anticipated wedding came and went on Saturday and we squealed when we found these emails on Monday!
“caroline – i can’t even begin to tell you how much we love you guys. LOVE LOVE LOVE. i can’t believe that we had 6 photographers at our wedding of 75 total guests. that’s like having 1 photographer for every 12.5 guests. you and dan are totally amazing, and i really feel like you the two of you are personally responsible for much of the perfection we had on saturday. i wish our wedding was still going on. everyone told me that the reception would just fly by, and it truly did. did you guys get to eat?? i only got one mac & cheese croquette, so i’m pretty pissed about that. i was thinking about eating that all day saturday, and when the moment finally came, i got sidetracked.
some of my favorite memories:
*dan being my gift mule and bringing the gifts to the guys’ room
*dan calling caroline to report a white shirt malfunction
*caroline saying to me “it takes 4 photographers to choreograph a first glance” as she and i were walking over to meet dan and mike
*caroline yelling to mike “i just want you to know that i’m Team Chi” as we were taking photos by the bow & arrow
*the slideshow – i didn’t get to see the whole thing, but i was so happy i wanted to cry. i can’t believe you made us a slideshow on the fly like that. you guys rock. our friend asked mike ‘did you seriously take a picture like that with your face squished?’ HAHA! i can’t wait to see those.
if you ever need a reference, i’m happy to do that for the rest of my life. you guys are seriously wonderful.
anyway, can’t wait to see our pictures!
love you guys!
mrs. bene”
“Hi Caroline and Dan,
Since Karen has done most of the communicating to date with you, I also wanted to personally thank you both for all the work you’ve done with us.
It really was great working with both of you, and you did an amazing job with two people that aren’t really all that comfortable in front of a camera. You will always be the first (and only) people we recommend when anyone we know is looking for professional photographers.
I’m really looking forward to seeing the wedding shots (since somehow I missed the slideshow on Saturday, then again everything after my second tequila shot is a little blurry).
Thanks for helping make our wedding day our best day ever!
Regards,
Mike”
Their wedding day was an absolute blast, casual, elegant and chic all rolled into one from the start until the end. We are already missing them so much and we can’t wait to meet up with Karen and Mike again after their honeymoon in Japan. And don’t forget to check out Karen and Mike’s Urban San Francisco Engagement Session and their Fun San Francisco Engagement Session. Psst, I also hear their engagement session will be featured in a magazine!
Karen and Mike, we love you! And thank you so much for having us there – we were so honored and OMG the food was so awesome. It’s true, I am bummed they are married, but so, so happy for them. It’s always so bittersweet when one of our favorite couples get married and Karen and Mike definitely stole our hearts from very early on. We had a lot of fun, a lot of laughs, clapped so loudly when you were pronounced man and wife and laughed so loudly when Mike spoiled the late night fried chicken surprise. And if you ever come across Karen, be sure to ask her what time she woke up on Saturday morning.
A huge huge thanks to our crew, for making it super duper fun and surviving through the whole day with us! BTW Town Hall Pots de Creme is the ultimate yum!!
And here is a random one – one of my favs from Saturday! It seems like people walking into our shot randomly was the theme of the day on Saturday!
