We LOVE ice cream, and we take our love for ice cream very seriously. So, in honor of all that is good in the world, we put together a fun summer activity we called Sacramento Ice Cream Crawl, and we visited some of the best ice cream joints in our area to see who came out on top as our favorite! We visited Vic’s, Gunther’s, Devine Gelateria, Ginger Elizabeth, Eatuscany Caffe and The Palor! We had the best time trying different flavors, and comparing notes! It was the best summer activity!
We even made a map and created a special score card for each Ice Cream Shop in the area just for this event! For the score card we included ranking for the following categories: texture, favor options, taste, aroma, visual appeal and overall.
Vic’s is a little gem nestled in Land Park, and has some fabulous picks of ice cream. Our choices of flavors was Lemon Chiffon, Strawberry and Cookie Dough. Each one had yummy texture, aroma and taste! No disappointments here!
Gunther’s is so charming and retro, but their ice cream quality is timelessly delightful! At Gunther’s they have such an amazing selection we tried Mint Chip, Mango, Green Tea and Coconut!
Devine Gelateria, it might be Italian style Ice Cream, but it’s still Ice Cream in our book! With an abundance of flavors it was SO hard to choose which one to try!!
Eatuscany Caffe, this charming caffe also has a yummy selection of gelato! We settled on sharing the Strawberry, and it was such a good choice!
Ginger Elizabeth, they are known for their chocolates, but they also have frozen treats too! And we can tell you, they are to DIE for! We tried their ice cream bar (covered in chocolate, of course) and the ice cream sandwich macaron! Yes please!
The Palor, their infamous ice cream puffs were a MUST try when we mapped out the ice cream joints we wanted to hit! Their delightfully sweet desserts have been the talk of the town so we put The Palor to the test! The mixture of warm and cold with the ice cream sandwiched between
We brought along our custom made crocheted ice creams from Whimzlove to join in on the fun!
It was such a hard decision, but after checking our score cards Gunther’s came out on top as all our favorites! It had such a vast amount of flavors, and the texture, taste and aroma of each one we tasted was exceptionally delicious! So the best all around, definitely goes to Gunther’s! We had such a great time doing out Ice Crawl Crawl, wont you do one too? We want to know who you choose as your favorite!
Special thanks to Whimzlove for sharing your amazingly cute creations with us!!
This looks so fun! I found this post while looking for a Sac Ice Cream Crawl. Is the comparison chart available for download by chance?
