We traveled all the way to Texas to capture this high-energy wedding! The bride and groom are big football fans, and allowed a little love for their favorite sport to sneak into their big day without losing the elegance.
From the Bride: “We’ve incorporated a lot of Roger’s love for football into the wedding without making it seem like a football themed wedding! Our ring bearer will be carrying a football down instead of a ring pillow, …the guy’s boutonnieres have the Dallas Cowboys star logo pin pinned onto their flowers, and our monogram lighting that will be lit onto the dance floor during dinner will have our names inside the Dallas Cowboy’s star emblem.”

Pretty robins-egg-blue invitations play up the whimsy of Michelle and Roger’s wedding.
Michelle’s bridesmaids put on the finishing touches – isn’t she a gorgeous bride?
Roger’s groomsmen pins on his boutonniere – do you spy the Cowboys star?
Almost ready to say the “I Do’s!”
We always ask our brides what the most important thing is (to them) on their wedding day:
“That our friends and family have a great time celebrating our marriage and love. All the little fine details that took forever to plan during the engagement start to not matter the day of the wedding. What’s most important is that we celebrate our love and union with our close loved ones.”
Can you believe these two almost didn’t get together? They were introduced through a mutual friend in 2005, and sparks didn’t exactly fly. A few years later they both ended up at the same bar with friends on Thanksgiving and they instantly clicked as friends – the rest is history!
Roger and Michelle have the cutest proposal story!
They had just bought their first home together, and though money was tight, Roger promised Michelle that her first Christmas in their new home was going to be memorable. A week before Christmas, he orchestrated a scavenger hunt so she could find out her first “gift” and Michelle raced around their house finding envelopes with favorite places and moments they’d shared written on the front, with a puzzle piece inside. Once all the pieces were collected, it formed a photo of an iPad, which she assumed was an early Christmas present! While she was playing with her new gift, Roger put the puzzle pieces in a frame upside down, and told Michelle to help him hang it. On the other side was a photo of wedding rings with “Will You Marry Me?” written above. Needless to say, he definitely made Christmas memorable!
“We believe the wedding is not really totally about us, but about allowing our friends and family to enjoy and celebrate this great day. We let our bridal party be involved as much as they could..the bridesmaids chose their own style dresses and each “couple” chose their own intro/entrance dance song to walk/dance into. We hope that it will show to our guests that our main goal at this wedding is to have fun!”
Urban portraits really reflect this couple’s roots in the city; they both would rather watch the Nature Channel than be in the wilderness!
This rowdy crowd wasn’t about to calm down once the cake cutting and dinner were over! There was singing, dancing, and general mayhem late into the night!
“Roger LOVES singing, so any chance he gets, whether he is tired or tight for cash..he will go to a karaoke bar with friends! I can’t sing to save my life, but it’s fun to catch up with everyone there.” – Michelle
We love you guys!
