Sometimes, even when I am supposed to be relaxing and enjoying myself, I can’t help but take photos. The following two are photos of three great friends of mine.
Alicia is my friend from SoCal who is a fellow agility competitor and a nationally ranked handler with her amazing one eyed wonder, Pickle the Pirate. On weekdays, she is an awesome high school teacher. On weekends, we indulge in our agility addiction together. Be sure to watch this video of her and Pickle in action winning the Challenger Round at the prestigious AKC Nationals 2008.
Ron and Barb are like my adopted parents. Having none of my immediate family out here and being entirely clueless in the nitty gritty rules of competitive agility competition, they have adopted me out of their kindness to help keep me on track and focused on making my dog, Milou, and I, one of the top 5 Portuguese Water Dog teams in AKC in the US. And with their guidance, Milou and I are proud to say that we have made it into the #2 position despite a later start and juggling weekends between wedding work and agility competitions. So just for that, I wanted to do a mini session with Ron and Barb, my agility dad and mom. This one was at the fairgrounds in Ferndale, CA last weekend, right in front of the bathrooms. Heheh. Aren’t they sweet?
