Yay we are home! We went up to Redding this week to attend the One Light Intensive workshop which was basically 1 day of shooting with David Beckstead a la his Shoot with Beckstead workshop and 1 day of shooting with lighting guru Zack Arias. We spent day 1 with Beckstead, driving all over the Lassen mountains and even ventured inside a lava tube until we ended the day shooting inside a beautiful art deco theatre. It was great learning from the two shooters, Beckstead being more of a free form, available light and composition driven photographer and Arias being more of a technical, light ratio counting and strobe touting photographer. What a great juxtaposition!
