Do you know what’s better than booking a photoshoot with one gorgeous pup? Booking a shoot with two! We love all breeds and mixes of dogs, so the more the merrier for us here in our pet portrait studio! We love all dogs, and all pets! When we saw these two babies come in for their first Vizsla portraits, we knew we were in for a real treat.
Apollo & Aurora: The Dynamic Duo.
When Apollo and his sister Aurora came into our studio, we were all smiles. Known for their gentle affection and energetic spirits, Vizslas are a joy to play with – and to train!
For centuries, these rugged but elegant athletes have been the pride of Hungarian sportsmen and their popularity in America increases with each passing year. (AKC.org)
These dogs are easily recognized by their “golden rust-colored coats”, and enjoy lots of exercise and bonding with their owners. Known as very versatile companions, these gorgeous companions’ history goes back many years, to the mid-800s in Western Europe. What a history!
Regal Vizsla Portraits.
Originally kept and bred by Hungarian nobles and warlords, the Vizsla breed first came to America in the 50s.
The first Vizsla to come to America, in 1950, was smuggled out of Communist Hungary with the help of a U.S. State Department employee. (AKC.org)
From their stature, it’s no surprise to us that these dogs were originally bred into nobility. Apollo & Aurora were amazingly well behaved, and there is no other way to describe their incredible posing beyond “regal”. This pair would definitely look at home on a throne – or, better yet, running laps around huge castle grounds!
Also referred to as a “Hungarian Pointer”, the Vizsla breed is very versatile. Their unique expertise in both water and on land, as well as their companionship qualities in the home, make many of these types of pets “dual dogs”. Able to both work and comfort, there isn’t much that sweet Apollo & Aurora can’t do! We’re so in love with this duo, and so happy to have been able to spend some time together.
