New Orleans is our happy place. The sights, the smells, the sounds, everything. New Orleans is full of so much life, and Michelle + Justin found it to be the perfect place to celebrate their one year anniversary. What is so lovely about New Orleans is that it is the perfect place to celebrate anything at all! The city is active and full of jubilee, full of great music, amazing food, and the best dessert (and yes, dessert deserves its own category). We were over the moon to shoot with Michelle + Justin for their anniversary session in this city, because not only do we love this couple but we love New Orleans!
We found a little hideaway courtyard in the middle of our anniversary session. The city was full of so many pleasant surprises!

French Quarter was a dream, as always! Music in the streets, puppies, and the best french toast we’ve had in a while! 
It might be sweater weather now in California, but a couple weeks ago it was the perfect sundress and hat weather! It was the best weather for our anniversary photo shoot! 
Did we mention how much we love dessert? Yeah, if you didn’t believe us before, maybe you will believe us now! We had to make a necessary gelato break! 
Anniversary sessions are so special to us. We love to see how a couple has grown in love and happiness toward one another. First year anniversaries are especially fun because we are so delighted to see our couple settled into life with one another.
