The day started perfectly. He spent his time making sure all the details were set right, making sure the spacing between the apple place card holders were correct. He told me he had been tying little bows for the last two weeks and laughed. I mentioned that that’s what bridesmaids are for.
When Jackie arrived in the bridal prep room at Casa Real, she was nervous and on pins and needles. She couldn’t wait for everything to start, it was adorable how worried she was as her mother zipped up her dress. I gulped when her mom started crying right before they walked down the aisle before the ceremony. Tadas started tearing up when he saw her and it made me teary as well!
Her face lit up as they parted from their first kiss as a newly married couple. Her smile stretched ear to ear and she grinned, waving to people she knew as she walked down the aisle. She was transformed, like a completely different person after the ceremony – all her tension was gone and he was now with her. If there was something special I noticed about this two is how they have a quiet comfort together. A special kind of chemistry they share intimately in each others’ arms.
Jackie, you were stunningly elegant. Tadas, you are hilarious. And you aren’t that bad of a dancer either! Your wedding details were to die for! Jackie and Tadas, you were an awesome couple and thank you so much for sharing your day with us.
Cake: Cake Expressions
Band: The Internationals
The signature cocktail – the appletini. And I love the tag from their wish tree! Too funny!
I love this sentimental shot of Jackie’s mom tearing up right before the ceremony
A good Chung Li shot of Tadas tearing up once he saw Jackie. It was great to have Chung shoot with us on that day! It’s awesome to be able to work with friends!
I thought it was amusing when I saw an older Asian man with “hang ten” socks.
I love this one of Jackie right after the ceremony!
The boys can get goofy!!
Guess who?!
This was what Jackie and Tadas ended up doing when I said “cheesy romance novel time!”
The drummer was also the officiant! An all inclusive service from the Internationals! What a great band they were, seriously awesome. The best polka band I’ve seen!
One last portrait in the dark
Last but not least, a shot of us working by Chung
