How to Fill Your Wedding with Vintage Details

• Shop Small – Hit up vintage or antique stores for everything from books and decor to your wedding jewelry and accessories! If you get lucky, maybe even your wedding dress. Don’t be shy about going to a tailor or seamstress for touch-ups, repairs, or recommendations on proper cleaning before your big day. If you’re surrounded by box stores or don’t have good options near you, Etsy.com is an amazing resource for real vintage pieces and custom-designed vintage replicas.
• Hit Up Your Grandma – The best stuff may be hiding in a relative’s attic! If your family is willing to part with (or allow you to gently use) some awesome clothing or decor, you could save a bundle. Not to mention that “something borrowed” is already taken care of!
• Handmade Magic- Vintage usually reads “not manufactured” – back before machines and plastics were able to pump out perfect copies of everything. If you, your bridesmaids, or your family are up for DIY projects, you can give some of that handmade magic to your wedding with some elbow grease!
