It doesn’t get much better than the picturesque slopes of Tahoe, and this luxury hotel is perched mid-mountain in a forest of pine trees. The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe is simply magical under a blanket of winter snow, and is located directly beside Northstar California’s ski resort, with a dedicated gondola that takes you straight to the lodge, or ski-on access to hit the slopes.

Prefer to stay indoors? Sip gourmet teas or hot chocolate next to the magnificent 55-foot granite fireplace. Want to take advantage of Tahoe in the Spring or Summer? Outdoor bocce ball and tennis courts, nearby hiking trails, three golf courses, and a sparkling pool are ready to enjoy.

Their large bridal party is so stylish! The boys were black-tie appropriate in classic tuxedoes, and the girls looked sweet in furry white caplets to ward off the cold.

There are eight different spots for ceremonies, from an intimate gathering in the woods to the expansive ballroom with it’s floor-to-ceiling windows, and four elegant areas for receptions.

Hot chocolate is the best cure for the winter blues! Katie and Casey included the cute sign, and their guests stayed toasty during the ceremony.

Katie and Casey chose to have a winter wedding at the Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe, and their day was simply magical. The bridesmaids wore fur shrugs over light pink dresses, tartan blankets and a hot chocolate bar stood ready for guests who felt chilled, and their ceremony took place with a backdrop of dark green pines and crisp white snow. They snuggled up at a sparkling sweetheart table and danced the night away in one of the hotel’s amazing ballrooms. It was such a fun event to capture!
