Why We Love This Place:

• Mulvaneys’ sheltered courtyard is a tight squeeze for a big wedding, but just right if you’re under 50 people or so. Walled in with pretty greenery and garden details, it lets in enough natural light for beautiful ceremony photos.

• While the restaurant’s decor is classic upscale steakhouse, their event spaces (Called Next Door) are neutral and white-walled. Any color palette or theme would fit into this blank slate, which gives you the freedom to be creative with your decor.
• It’s right down the street from our favorite gelato place! A cute photo-op spot, or a post-reception treat – your choice!
• Their location, in the middle of midtown Sacramento, is close to a killer selection of art galleries, hipster restaurants, and funky brick buildings (some with awesome murals for pre-made photo backdrops!). It means you have your pick of fun places to hang before your big day, bars to hit up the night before, and fun places for us to shoot you!

Michelle + Justin’s Chic Pink and Black Wedding at Mulvaney’s B&L

We’ve known this duo for quite a long time, and were so excited to shoot their big day. Aside from being an all around awesome chick, Michelle frequently is our model for styled inspiration shoots! She wanted to infuse her Sacramento wedding with some formal French flair, and opted for a sleek black and white palette with pink and gold accents. Our favorite decor moment is her absolutely stunning orchid-filled archway, that is the perfect accent to Mulvaney’s ceremony courtyard. Scroll through for all the eye candy!

This stylish couple wanted all the formal details of a black tie wedding, but with some fun, modern portraits. Where better to have their big day than the middle of midtown Sacramento?
