Milou + Olin’s Indoor Weddings
Whether you’ve fallen in love with a historical mansion, are planning a posh soiree at a country club, or are dancing the night away in a hotel ballroom, sometimes the great outdoors don’t factor in to your wedding day. There are plenty of pros to having all your festivities tucked away, and we’ll share our favorite things about indoor weddings with you!
Reasons We Love Indoor Weddings
- Let there be Light – You and your coordinator have so much control over the lighting of an indoor space! From dimmer switches to custom uplighting, candles to spotlights, you can easily transform a space with the right lights. You can even have a gold shimmer for your meal and toasts, then switch to a wild pink or multicolored setup for dancing and drinks.
- Worry-Free Wedding – Although a view may be nice, the threat of a sudden downpour, hot or cold unexpected weather, or even a persistent wind could throw your plans out of balance. Older guests can get uncomfortable quickly, not to mention sweaty groomsmen in tuxes! Removing this potential threat can calm a nervous bride or groom, and let you worry about all the other fussy details.
- Built-In Theming – If you’re looking for a venue to dictate your wedding decor, an indoor venue can guide you in the right direction. Draperies, interior furniture colors, paint or art can give you a pre-made color palate as a starting point and make your choices much less intimidating. Find a venue you adore and it can inspire a wedding style you love just as much.
- Music and Mics – An indoor venue is almost sure to be wired for sound and power (always check first!), which means you’re free to hire a DJ or plug in ample lighting without a second thought. For your vendors, this can alleviate a ton of headaches!
