Happy Monday darlings!
The wedding planning has made some awesome developments, including some very exciting venues and a bunch of Northern and Central California road trips, but I’ll share those with you next week!
I will give you a little tip though: KNOW AWESOME PEOPLE IN THE WEDDING INDUSTRY! Or at least like them on Facebook, because I won the most amazing bridal earrings through a Facebook contest by one of Milou + Olin’s favorite coordinators; Mary Phan at Very Merry Events, and her collaboration with Haute Bride.
For those of you who know Mary, you’ll already know what a brilliant designer and coordinator she is, but for those of you who don’t know, here’s a rundown:
- She creates one-of-a-kind drawings and sketches for your event that come to life before your eyes!
- She’s done some of our dreamiest shoots with us, so we know she has impeccable styling skills
- She’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! Think about that when you’re looking at coordinators – niceness counts when you have to work with them for a year, possibly longer!
- She’s got a Kate Spade obsession, just like me…. watch out for her Kate Spade shoot coming soon!
- She manages to elegantly juggle her two boys and all of her clients with ease in one of the most fabulous cities around: San Francisco!
Facebook Contest
So I started following this superwoman on Facebook, and just after I was engaged, I saw a post on Very Merry’s page about a contest. Now I’ve been kind of jaded when it comes to contests, until this year. I won a fabulous wedding venue tour with Blu Bungalow, and I thought I’d try my luck again.
When I saw the prize, I knew I’d have to enter. The Swarovski earrings were rose gold with clear and blush pink crystals! My engagement ring is rose gold, with diamonds and a “champagne” sapphire that looks pink on most occasions; it was a match made in heaven! I said as much when I entered, since they prompted you to share why you “needed” (not wanted!) the earrings. The next week I saw this pop up on my feed!
I guess I can’t be jaded about contests anymore! These earrings completely take my breath away.
I impatiently waited for them to show up at my door, and I wasn’t disappointed when they arrived. They sparkle like stars and are the perfect size – not to mention they check the box for extreme wedding bling!
My fiance said that I’d have to make my dreams of a blush wedding dress come true so I could match it to the earrings – we’ll see if I can follow through!
