Hello and happy Monday all! I had a fabulous weekend; I hope some of you caught the ever-amazing photobooth duo Giggle and Riot at the studio for Second Saturday!
So to recap my wedding planning process, I already have a gorgeous venue, The Sainte Claire Hotel in San Jose…
and of course I locked down the endless talents of Caroline here at Milou + Olin for all of my photographic needs, because after seeing her photography (and knowing her personally) who else could measure up?
Yelena of The Stylish Soiree is the master choreographer of my wedding day, so all the design and vendor coordination – as well as many many other necessary things, is blissfully off my shoulders.
So what’s left? Oh just about everything! But it’s the really fun details that are left to sort out. Flowers will be my next stop, and I’ve been collecting endless photos of bouquets, boutonnieres, flower arches, flower chandeliers (!) – anything flower related before checking out some fabulous florists down in San Jose. Here is a short list of “wants” when it comes to flowers:
- structural and modern, but with a little bit of whimsy
- white, cream, any shade of pink as long as it doesn’t encroach on purple, and yellow
- nothing too “romantic” or “rustic”

As I’ve discovered about myself, I lean toward the preppy side, and I love pink! I wouldn’t even mind flowers between layers of my cake (pictured above bottom right)!
I’ll keep you posted as the wedding details are pulled together, and there are a million things to think about! Much more pinning to do!
