It’s a special moment when you watch one of your dear friends marry the man she loves with all of her heart. Dearest Stephania… I first met her about 4 years ago, we had gelato and it quickly became our thing! We either met for tea or gelato as we shared long hours of conversation. I remember when she first told me about her first date with Gordon and how they spent hours talking. I remember the sparkle in her eyes when she spoke about him. I watch her, over the years, soften in the safety of Gordon’s arms. And I watched her slowly dare to dream of something more, and over time build a life with Gordon, settling in the safety of his embrace. I watched as they purchased a house together and added a puppy in to their life. I watched as they navigated two countries together, and the lone Stephania I knew became part of a unit as she found her forever home in Gordon. As I watched and photographed these two profess their love and commitment to each other in front of family at Indian Springs Resort, my heart flooded with happiness and all I wanted to do was hug her and tell her she finally found and made the home she deserves, and it was right there in Gordon. Thank you Gordon for helping my friend be the woman that she is today. For letting her break in your arms, and for sheltering her from the world. Thank you for fulfilling her dreams of love and true companionship. Thank your loving her right back. And thank you for showing the rest of us what love can be. I am so incredibly honored to have the chance to photograph your wedding, I love you both from the bottom of my heart, and I wish you nothing else but the most perfect and peaceful life two people in love can ever have.
