Back in 2010, we were the lucky San Francisco photographers assigned to shoot Victoria Card’s/ SFGirlBytheBay‘s apartment for the coveted Rue Magazine. Oh my gosh, we were so blown away! Victoria’s apartment is a virtual wonderland of visual treasures. Every where I looked, there were cute little details and curiosities. I loved the level of care and attention that she put into every single living space she had, from her bohemian chic living room to her chalkboard walls in her darling little kitchen. Right down to the cherry sunshine yellow pot and kettle. Her office space has so many little goodies and gave me so much inspiration for our new studio. Victoria has an impeccable sense of style, her usage of the new, the offbeat and the occasional glam pieces are to die for. And ultimately I love the clean white space and walls juxtaposed with her dark pieces. Everything made it so cheery and peaceful. And I love her collection of V’s, don’t you?
Check out all the details on her mantelpiece. So cute!! Love all the clean black and white pieces, and oh my god, David Sedaris!!! Good one, Victoria. The to die for chalkboard wall and cute little decal. Makes me want to drawl all over it! Too adorable! Don’t you love how the blue of the lampshade picks up the blue book cover? Darling! This is giving me inspiration to collect odds and ends in the office. Love all the colors! Isn’t the clean bright light in her apartment, gorgeous? And the bedding is to die for! Everything is placed so very thoughtfully and with such delicate purpose! I love all the old vintage photos together on one huge moodboard! What a clever way to hang cards and letters from friends!! Now if only my friends would send me letters instead of emails! Fresh flowers brighten up any room! Yay for flowers! And thanks so much to the Rue Magazine girls for letting us participate in this amazing shoot and magazine. XOXO to you girls!
