Wedding Shoes
The girliest part of the wedding day is picking out the shoes. And for me, being an avid shoe lover and a rare shoe buyer, this was an incredibly hard decision. Even though I’m not revealing which ones I chose, they are included in the mix of my favorites I’ll share with you – see if you can guess!
These lovelies are from Kat and Mike’s amazing wedding – Badgley Mischka is the perfect go-to brand for pretty shoes!
San Francisco Wedding Shoe Shopping
I took a weekend and stayed in the city with my Mom – who better to go shoe shopping with? We brunched, shopped, and enjoyed the unusually warm weather! We went everywhere from Nordstrom to Neiman Marcus to Macy’s and stopped in at little boutiques along the way.
Since my dress is an off-white/peachy pink color and my jewelry is mostly rose gold, my ideal shoes were either gold, pink, or silver, preferably with a bow (because when else do you get to wear a pair of shoes with a giant bow on them?). Here are the shoes that made me swoon, and why I love them:
Kate Spade – “Charm”
These totally stole my heart – they’re slingbacks which means they’ll stay on my feet through posing and dancing, the girly bow on the front is playful and adorable, and the light pink sparkle is the perfect color. They just look like so much fun!
These are completely understated and fabulous at the same time. The sparkle makes them pop, but the wide t-strap and low metallic wedge makes them completely wearable. The gorgeous gold color is completely timeless, and from the front and the back they look like a low heel instead of a wedge.
Louboutin Geo Suede Studded Cap-Toe Pumps
The edgiest pick of mine is a Louboutin stunner. I probably couldn’t walk in this crazy high heel, but I can swoon over them nonetheless! The black would be an awesome contrast to my ethereal tulle gown, and I could probably do some damage to Chris’s best man if he said something inappropriate during the toasts!
Valentino – Jewelry-Bow Couture d’Orsay
I’ve seen these shoes (and my jaw has dropped) all over the wedding world, but it didn’t stop me from considering them for my own wedding. They also come in a gorgeous champagne color that is a little less “cocktail hour” than the black and gold. Again, the heel might kill me.
Kate Spade – “Dina”
These completely steal my heart. A “rose gold” colored shimmer, rhinestone bow, and a low heel make it the most adorable shoe on this list. It probably is slightly less comfortable than the gold wedges, but the chunky heel makes it 2nd place on the comfort list.
How can you not love the graphic design of these shoes? Aside from the very fabulous brand, the layered bow and sexy cut of the heel are completely worthy of some stylish photos.
I’ll be revealing my shoes, dress, and so many other fabulous details next April once I’m a Mrs.!
xoxo- Morgan Elizabeth
